EG7 Announces Parody Space Video Game Minimal Affect

EG7 announced this week that they have a new space parody video game on the way in 2021 called Minimal Affect. The game is being developed by Toadman Studios and published by Sold Out, both of whom are a part of the EG7 network, as they have created a sci-fi RPG game that makes fun of basically every space franchise you've ever known. Made by a group of people who are longtime hardcore fans of the genre who painstakingly are creating a love note to their passions. The game is set to launch in North America and Europe sometime in 2021. For now, you can read more about the game below and check out the announcement trailer.

No sci-fi property is safe from the scorn of Minimal Affect.

"Minimal Affect is our homage to some of the greatest sci-fi RPGs, movies, and shows that we absolutely love," said Rasmus Davidsson, Creative Director on Minimal Affect. "While the story is ridiculous, the gameplay certainly is not – this is a fully fledged action-RPG created in the art-style of adult animation you know and love. It's a super galactic tale of space adventure, comedy, and questionable morality."

Warp speed into the absurd on a one of a kind journey across the Milky Way in Minimal Affect! What happens when the rag-tag crew aboard the Star Alliance Balding Eagle blasts off on their maiden journey? Well, things get scary real quick. And the team turns to… their "fearless" leader? Minimal Affect is a story-driven space adventure with a colorful cast of characters on a quest to save the galaxy once again and get into a LOT of space alien combat. Guide your team, meet new characters, learn new skills, explore side quests and generally do everything you'd expect to do in a third-person action RPG, all set in a vibrant, stylish world that feels like playing a cartoon.
