Marvel Finally Publishes a Comic That’s Nothing But Variant Covers

Well, they’ve finally done it. Marvel has finally come to the inevitable conclusion that if you give a comic enough variant covers, it doesn’t really matter what’s inside. And so, in April, Marvel will publish a comic that consists of nothing but variant covers. Over a hundred of them, in fact. It’s a glorious moment in comic book publishing history. The start of a bold new era. What a time to be alive!

As revealed in Marvel’s full April solicitations, Star Wars: The Action Figure Variant Covers #1 will collect all of John Tyler Christopher’s Star Wars action figure variants in a single one-shot for the low price of $9.99 cheap!

And yes, because we know you were wondering: this collection of variant covers will itself also feature a variant cover. Which means, of course, they’ll need to release another collection to collect that one as well. God bless America!
