Geoff Johns is out as president and chief creative officer of DC Entertainment, but that doesn’t mean he will be stepping away from DC Comics properties
As detailed in The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive story, Johns will launch Mad Ghost Productions, which will allow him to work on films, television, and comic books while also still working with DC properties.

His first project will be writing the screenplay for a Green Lantern Corps live-action film, which he had been previously connected to as a storywriter and producer. He is currently working as a writer and producer on Wonder Woman 2 and has a co-writing and executive producing credit for the upcoming Aquaman film.
Johns will also be working with DC Comics more directly in order to launch multiple comic book projects. He will launch a new Shazam title that is expected to see release sometime in the fall. Johns has previously written the character as a member of the Justice Society of America, and during the New 52 as a backup story in Justice League.
His other comic book projects include Three Jokers with Jason Fabok, and a new pop-up imprint called The Killing Zone, which promises to revitalized obscure DC properties.
