One Catwoman superfan purr-fectly recreated Selina Kyle’s wedding dress shopping spree from Batman #44.
In the comic, Selina breaks into a dress shop in the dead of night and selects her perfect gown. It’s a clever exploration of Catwoman’s backstory, which has now come to life in live-action form.

Before the big day takes place this July in the pages of Batman #50, one cosplayer went back to this important moment in Selina Kyle’s life. Cosplayer Annet Violet puts her uncanny likeness to Catwoman to good use with a faithful homage of Tom King, Mikel Janin and Joelle Jones’ April issue of the comic.

Violet spared no detail for her recreation. “I forced myself to keep this project in secret!” she wrote. “When I saw an episode with Batman proposed and then Catwoman in her wedding dress I was so impressed and realized I must do it!!” The project isn’t quite finished yet, but Violet promises a final look at her in the iconic dress is coming soon.
Catwoman #1 and Batman #50 both arrive in stores July 4 from DC Comics. The DC Cover Girls Catwoman statue by Joëlle Jones is available for pre-order beginning April 16.
