Rick and Morty Review Finds New Snake Jazz Album a Real Tail-Tapper

Get ready, lovers of snake jazz, because a fresh new sssingle just dropped, along with an extended album. For all my snakes who don't know what I'm talking about, Adult Ssswim just released a whole hour of smooth snake jazz on both snake and human YouTube. I know, it's surprisingly not-racist and a little weird, especially considering that Earth music is so bizarre, but I'm sure human fans of real culture will appreciate it (we know Rick and Morty fans are already on the musical cutting edge). In case it's been a while since you've studied snake music history, let me offer you a refresher course. A lot has changed since the snake 1920s, especially musically. While it's widely known now that snake jazz originated with the Mambas, its origin was believed at the time and is still often and incorrectly attributed to the Rattlesnakes (though there have been many influential Rattlesnakes in snake jazz).

It all came to the mainstream with the bold yet soothing hisses of Cobra Baise and the brash, improvised rattles of Louis Anaconda, and that was enough to turn the heads of snakes of all kinds. After that, things progressed as a more heartbreaking and sweeter snake jazz sound rose in popularity: the female snake jazz singers. It's said that snake jazz is what gave females that extra layer of heartbreak, though many swear that's just a myth. As you can hear, snake jazz has come a long way, but can still be traced back to its roots and as the root of many other styles of snake music, as evident by the smooth and funky hisses so often found in music all across the board.

So, now that you're caught up on snake history, we can move on to the new stuff. Thanks to crooner Sssyan Selder, we have a new style of snake jazz that hits just right. This new album has everything: new hissing styles, free form glottis control, rattles, and inverse rattles, and even experimental uses of "slither" sounds. I know, it's hard to believe music has come this far in such a short amount of time, it's almost like we just time-traveled to the future and brought back the sssickest music. But these gentle-snakes have pulled it off and the beats are wasting no time sliding right into everything, including our hearts and playlists. Keep is sssmooth and jazzy, snake friends. Snake Eden, sssigning off.
